Parking Meter Redesign
3D modelled and rendered using SOLIDWORKS.
Goal:
Fully accessible City of Toronto Parking meterredesign following the universal design principals.
Proposed design includes:
- 4 foot display height coupled with 15 degree angled display allows comfortable use for individuals of a verity of heights
- Text is replaced with descriptive images wherever possible
- Order of operations displayed for the user
- Mat E-liquid screen display to prevent glare
- All buttons are large enough to be pressed with two fingers, and feature raised symbols
- Card and coin slots require less precision to use
- Buttons light up with corresponding steps
